Cheryl Darrup - Boychuck - INTCAS & ROI

As part of INTCAS' acquisition of FundsV earlier this year, Cheryl DarrupBoychuck joined the company as US Director of Institutional Relations. The London-based company designs and builds "INTelligent Communities Around Students," connecting the global education industry in a single platform to attract, recruit and manage international students in a safe, compliant and efficient manner.

 

Prior to INTCAS, Cheryl managed all aspects of USjournal and its family of 16 multi-lingual domains, all promoting an exclusive list of U.S. campuses to qualified students from around the world.In her professional volunteer capacity, Cheryl co-created an online modeling tool to help colleagues measure Return on Investment in international student recruitment (ROIie.com). She also serves on two task forces for the Groningen Declaration, which is helping to define the future of global student data portability. Within NAFSA, she volunteers on the Editorial Advisory Board for the organization's award-winning magazine, International Educator

Benjamin Waxman - Intead

Ben has over 25 years of experience working in marketing, branding and communications. He is particularly adept at aligning the many internal stakeholders within large non-profit institutions behind a global marketing initiative.

David Adler - Founder & CEO of Ustudy Global

An AIRC certified agency that operates in several countries around the world. As an international student himself,  David earned a full athletic scholarship to play basketball for the University of South Florida and Metropolitan State University in Denver. With over 20 years of experience in the international education market in general, and in international recruiting in specific, David brings an innovative perspective and creative approach to many issues concerning the industry.

Sylvia Rozwadowska-Shah - Colibri Boston & Cogito World Education

Originally from Poland, Sylvia first came to the US as a foreign exchange student. She holds a Master’s degree in Economics and Political Science from Uniwersytet im Adama Mickiewicza w Poznaniu, and has worked for the Polish Foreign Ministry and the European Union Institute in Poland. In 2011 she co-organized the MIT European Career Fair. She’s lived in Boston for 15 years and has been working with international students for 10 years. Sylvia believes that education is the most efficient tool in creating world peace and prosperity. She created Cogito with the goal to make study in North America available to students with a range of varying budgets and language proficiency.

When attending NAFSA conference in St. Louis, Missouri Sylvia met brain surgeon dr. Alfredo Quinones- Hinojosa who came to the US as a migrant farm worker from Mexico and started learning English in Community College in California. He eventually entered community college academic program than transferred to UC Berkeley to finally gradate from Harvard Medical school. The story was so inspiring that Sylvia decided to promote community college path to top schools to international students in close to 50 countries. Her company Cogito World Education has sent many students to community colleges in the United States.

Dr. Maria Acob-Nash - Dean of International Programs - Cascadia College

Mari has over 26 years experience advising students and directing international programs.  She supports any and all efforts in supporting our students to become global citizens.  She strives to create an atmosphere of support at the International Programs office and believes a helpful, knowledgeable, professional international advising staff is essential to assisting international students and study abroad students with their educational success.   Mari has her Associate of Arts and Sciences, BA from University of Washington, Masters from Western Washington University and PhD in Educational Leadership from Oregon State University.  For fun, she loves walking, eating, photography and dancing.

Jon Maes – Assistant Director of International Recruitment and Admissions - Tacoma Community College

Jon has worked in the field of international higher education and adult education for the past 12 years. Before joining Tacoma Community College in 2013 as Assistant Director of International Recruitment and Admissions, he served as Senior Academic Manager for ACT Education Solutions in South East Asia and South Korea. He earned a Bachelor of Liberal Arts from Gonzaga University and an Erasmus Mundus Joint Master of Research and Innovation in Higher Education (MARIHE) from University of Tampere, Finland and Danube University Krems, Austria. 

Van Pham - Marketing Specialist - North Seattle College

Van has built and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with educational partners all around the world, with a strong emphasis in Northeast and Southeast Asia. She has developed marketing strategies to promote awareness about study abroad programs in the United States and to recruit students in emerging markets, including Russia, Latin America, Central Asia, and Pacific Islands.
